Pelican’s Pick of the Week

The season is dying down a bit, so I’m off on vacation next week, so what I am taking with me on my vacay:  “Chaperone” by Laura Moriarty and “Rules of Civility” by Amor Towles.

What did you read  on your vacation this summer?  Beside the Shades of Grey Trilogy.

Most folks in our area read a lot of our great southern authors, so hats off to Karen White, Marybeth Whalen, Jack DeGroot, Dot Frank and Mary Alice Monroe our runaway winners in that category!

Hi, I was in Labor Day weekend and we spoke about getting a copy of Winston Churchill’s earliest Last Lion Volume. Wondered if you have had any luck with that. Also wondered if you have two hardback copies of MaryBeth Whalen’s The Guest Book. Look forward to hearing from you.
